Saturday 23rd June we will be holding an afternoon/evening of various event in order to celebrate our wonderful fundraising efforts for the defibrillator for Wyke Square, this event will hopefully include the unveiling of the defibrillator in place, workshops showing how having this can benefit people of Wyke Regis amongst other things. More details to follow.
Our fundraising evening on 24th March went very well, we are looking like we will smash our target as we are looking at a projected raised sum of £1700+
Our main aim for this year is to raise enough funds to provide a Defibrillator for Wyke Square to benefit any resident who may need to use this vital piece of possible life saving equipment. These vital pieces of equipment have a starting price of anywhere from £700 upwards and then their is the cost of the housing unit which is about another £700, when we manage to raise enough funds to have this in place we will hopefully be in a position to the hold some first aid training within the social club for any member of the community who wishes to have basic first aid training and training on using the defibrilltor too even though it will talk you through the procedure.
